Direct Connection will also offer three new supercharger kits for the Hellcrate
Stellantis’ star attraction at the SEMA Show is a Plymouth GTX electromod, but the company still has gas running through its veins. That’s clear today as they’ve announced two new crate engine blocks that will be available through Dodge Direct Connection.
The elephant in the room is a block version of the Hellephant, known as the A30 426 Supercharged Crate HEMI engine. While the name doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, it produces 1,000 hp (746 kW / 1,014 PS) and 950 lb-ft (1,287 Nm) of torque when fully assembled. Pricing starts at $8,815 and the company said it will be “available in various machined configurations.”

The Hellephant is being joined by a Drag Pak 354 Supercharged Crate HEMI engine. This block costs $10,570 and appears geared towards the drag strip.
If you already have a Hellcrate Redeye engine installed in your ride, you might be interested in a new supercharger kit that draws inspiration from the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170. It costs $11,995 and includes a larger 3.0-liter twin-screw supercharger, a 105 mm throttle body, and high-flow fuel injectors that are capable of providing up to 164 gallons (621 liters) of fuel per hour. Speaking of the latter, the kit has an ethanol sensor and provides a flex fuel capability.
Customers will also find 2.4- and 2.7-liter Supercharger Replacement Snout kits that cost $1,095 and $1,295. The engine blocks and supercharger kits will be available early next year and more information should be provided on DCPerformance.com at launch.
